IT’S NOT YOUR BODY OR MY BODY—IT’S GOD’S BODY!
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and ALL who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters” (Psalm 24:1-2). Those who are anti-God, anti-Christ do not want to accept that they belong to God. As followers of Jesus we understand that our “bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in (us), whom (we) have received from God? (We) are not (our) own; (we) were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with (our) bodies.
Those who say, “It is my body!” do not understand what they are saying. It is like saying, “I am the captain of my own ship” or “My destiny is in my own hands” or I am the one in control of my own life.” They do not understand the sovereignty of God and that He ultimately is in control. They do not understand that, instead of owners of their body, they are stewards or caretakers of the body they are in. One day they will have to give an account to Almighty God for their stewardship of their body as we all will have to.
Here is one thing we all have in common— “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). For those who do not know Jesus, do not have a relationship with Him, have never called on His Name for salvation from sin to a relationship with Him then—
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” —Revelation 20:11-15
Everything is known about every life. For those who have called on Jesus to saved them from sin to a relationship with Him— their sins of forever gone because “God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21). This is the only way anyone can know God and be with Him forever after death— we are given God’s righteousness which without there would be no hope for anyone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw
According to the Revelation passage above, For those who do not know Jesus, do not have a relationship with Him, have never called on His Name for salvation from sin to a relationship with Him then— everything they have done or said is written down. At the great white throne judgment it will be evident they were living for themselves and not God. It will be clear they don’t want anything to do with God. They will be separated from Him forever in the lake of fire. People will find out that the body they are in is not their own, they are not “the captain of their own ship” or “Their destiny is not in their own hands” or “They are not in control of their own life.” The evil deeds will be exposed— all the abortions, all other murders, all idolatry, all dishonoring of parents, all adultery, all pornographic experience, all stealing, all lying, all lusting after other people or things— yes, everything will be exposed.

Dear Father I am so grateful that all my sin is gone and I never have to be concerned that I will be judged and condemned. Thank You Jesus for Your great love to me and all who have called on Your Name— proven at the cross and through the resurrection. Now may I seek to live faithfully for You according to Your desires by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
