RESPONSIBILITY GIVEN US FROM OUR RISEN KING!

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?  No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”  —Luke 16:10-13

            Today is resurrection Sunday.  It is He who has risen from the dead that has given us responsibility over part of His property.  What wealth you have is the wealth He has entrusted you with.  Are you being trustworthy with what He has given you?

            Jesus said, “If you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”  So are we being faithful with the worldly wealth He has given us to be responsible for?  If we are not being faithful with the wealth of this world then we will not be given responsibility for that which are “true riches.”

            The risen King brought us into His kingdom to be faithful servants.  This kingdom presence that we have is only because the King has risen from the dead.  Without His resurrection none of what He said would matter.  “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead” (I Corinthians 15:20).  “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful” (I Corinthians 4:2).  May we be faithful servants of the risen King!

            The wealth He has given to us is not to take precedence over Him.  He is the One we are to be serving and not money or anything or anyone else.  Yes, He is to be first over all in our lives!  May this be the case!  Dear Father may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSAN5ObaRQg
