BELIEVING THE TRUTH OR THE LIAR

BELIEVING THE TRUTH OR THE LIAR

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. —Numbers 23:19

in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time… —Titus 1:2

God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie… —Hebrews 6:18

People lie, God never lies— He cannot lie.  He does not change His mind.  When He says something He will do it.  He may change His actions, or so it appears to us, but He does not change His mind.  God is Sovereign.  He has plans and purposes already laid out.  They will be accomplished in His time.  There may be times that He seems to change His mind with the actions that He changes, but that is our perception.

God’s Word is Truth (John 17:17) because God Himself is Truth.  On the other hand— “the devil… was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44).  Jesus said, “The reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me” (John 18:37).  So… are we on the side of Truth or on the side of the liar.  There is no in between.  There are no neutral grounds.  By default all people are born sinners and on the side of Satan.  Jesus came to change that, but He will not force anyone to change sides.  He invites people to come to Him out of love for Him.  So, whose side are you on? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=12s

Dear Father I am grateful to know that You are totally dependable and that I can believe Your Word fully.  Oh, may I be like You— truthful and be and do what I say I will be and do.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsQ58qn7G_4
