REMORSE’S REMEDY!
REMORSE’S REMEDY!
When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.” “What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.” So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself. —Matthew 27:3-5
Remorse—- regret, sorrow, guilt, shame— can lead a person down the road to doubt, discouragement, depression, despair, despondency and death— suicide. There is a hopelessness that seizes a person and they do not see any way out of their situation. They truly come to believe the devil’s deception that the best way, the only way out is to kill themselves. The devil’s ploy, but the person needs to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26). Judas did not come to his senses. He did not escape the trap of the devil. He was taken captive by the devil’s will and committed suicide. Let’s be clear. People always have a choice— always. There is hope in what appears to be a hopeless situation.
Jesus is our only hope! He is this world’s only hope! Oh, let us run to Him at all times, but especially let us run to Him if we are on the path to doubt, discouragement, depression, despair, despondency and death— suicide. He is the answer! Do not be deceived by the devil’s devices! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-1fwZtKJSM Trust Jesus now! Run to Him now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=13s Love Him and live for Him!
