LISTEN!

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. —Revelation 1:17-18

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. —Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29, 2:6, 13, 22

The destiny of all people is in our Savior Jesus Christ, our Lord and King. All people are headed for one place or the other after death— either Heaven or Hell.  If Jesus did not rise from the dead we are among all people most to be pitied because we would have been believing a lie, but Jesus has risen from the dead (I Corinthians 15:12-20).  Jesus did die, but He arose and proved to be the Son of God by that resurrection (Romans 1:1-6).  Jesus is alive and His kingdom has no end.  It is an everlasting kingdom (Luke 1:32-33).  If you have called on His Name to be saved then you are in that kingdom!  If you have not called on His Name I would strongly urge you to do so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=161s

One of the main reasons we are still alive on this planet as followers of Jesus is to be His witnesses so others can come to know Him, be His disciples and make disciples to follow Jesus.  People are not just saved from their sin, but saved to a relationship with God through Jesus to know Him, grow in Him, tell others about Him and encourage them ti encourage others to do the same.

So, if we are told that “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches,” then what is the Spirit saying to us today?  Here’s some of what He is saying:

  • Repent and get back to the basics of witnessing and disciple-making.
  • Be faithful through persecution— even to the point of death
  • Flee sexual immorality
  • Expose misleading false prophets, flee their teaching
  • Finish the work God has given you
  • Keep His Word and walk through the doors He opens
  • Listen to His counsel, rebuke, discipline and repent

May we be faithful in what He is saying to us.  Oh, that we and the local church/Body of Christ that we attend listen to what His Holy Spirit is saying to us.  Not only listen, but may we be obedient to Him who has sealed our destiny.  Yes, out of great gratitude of our hearts may we seek to be truly faithful to Him.  So what is He saying to you?  Will you obey?  May our hearts line up with His! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB6IvyegNCs

Yes, Dear Father, may I listen to what Your Holy Spirit is saying and then be/do what He says.  May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Oh yes, may this be so!
