INDICATORS JUST PRIOR TO THE RETURN OF JESUS!

 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. —II Thessalonians 2:3-4

             Before Jesus comes back there will be some things that will happen.  We can glean a few from these couple verses above—

• There will be those who seek to deceive us about His coming
• There will be a rebellion/apostasy/falling way before His coming
• The man of lawlessness/son of perdition/son of destruction/the wicked one/the Antichrist will be revealed before His coming
• The man of lawlessness/son of perdition/son of destruction/the wicked one/the Antichrist will oppose himself against every so called god or object of worship before His coming
• The man of lawlessness/son of perdition/son of destruction/the wicked one/the Antichrist will exalt himself against every so called god or object of worship before His coming
• The man of lawlessness/son of perdition/son of destruction/the wicked one/the Antichrist will seat himself in the temple of God before His coming
• The man of lawlessness/son of perdition/son of destruction/the wicked one/the Antichrist will proclaim himself to be God before His coming

So there are some things that very clearly will happen before Jesus returns.  But be sure of this— Jesus will return.  “Do not grow weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”  “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (II Thessalonians 2:13; Galatians 6:9; I Corinthians 15:58). 

Before Jesus comes deception, rebellion, an evil leader opposing and exalting himself over all “religion” will take a seat in the temple of God and declare himself God will all take place.  Wow!  According to this passage if we see the temple being built we can be pretty sure we are getting toward the end.  Let us rejoice.  Jesus will come back unless we die and go to be with Him first!  Either way we will see and be with Jesus forever and ever!  Amen.  Even so come Lord Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_gBpvihKcQ

 Dear Father I am so grateful that You have given us Your Word to know these things and not be deceived by others who would seek to do so.  Help me, please, to continually focus on Your Word and not man’s word.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  So be it.
