OUR GREAT STAR NAMING LORD

 He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.  —Psalm 147:4-5

             Let’s just think about the number of stars there are.  There are some who say there are 70 billion trillion stars.  Ok… we cannot even begin to wrap our head around that number. How do they come up with such a number?  Who really knows?  Only our Lord knows.  But consider the greatness of just this one act— He has given each one them a name.  This alone is staggering to think about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jqMiS9ngCQ

            How great is our God?  How mighty in power is He?  Who can understand Him?  When I consider Him I shrink… I am in awe… I wonder… “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).  Creation erases any excuse man has for not believing in the existence of God.  His Creation screams out that He created it.  Every day His creation speaks all around the globe (Psalm 19:1-4).  It is a universal language that continually speaks without words.  There are no excuses for not believing He is.

            We know God exists through His creation and let us praise God that He has given us His Word— “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).  “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17).  Creation screams out His existence and His Word enables us to have a personal relationship with Him.  There is no excuse.  https://youtu.be/bo9ZWX1lEKI?t=1021

I thank You Father for the wonders of Your creation and for the revelation of Your Word.  Thank You for saving me through Your Son Jesus and giving me Your Holy Spirit.  Now may I live faithfully for You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May this be so even though I just do not understand so very much.
