FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT!

 And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. And whoever sees me sees him who sent me.  I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. —John 12:44-46

 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).  To believe in Jesus is to believe in the Father.  To see Jesus is to see the Father.  Once we believe in Jesus we are no longer in the darkness but now “share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:12-14).  “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord” (Ephesians 5:8-10). 

You who have believed/trusted/put your faith in Jesus are no longer in darkness.  He has opened the eyes of those who believe so they can see from His perspective.  We who believe let us rejoice in being able to see according to God’s will.—-Jesus came to “open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me” (Acts 26:18).  Yes, praise our God who has done this for us!
