HE KNOWS… NONE CAN HIDE FORM HIM!
Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge— the LORD—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath. —Psalm 94:8-11
Fools need wisdom because the obvious is dull to them. They live as if the Lord does not hear, but He does! They live as if the Lord does not see, but He does! They live as if the Lord will not take action, but He will! They live as if the Lord will not show them their error, but He will! They live as if the Lord does not know their thoughts, but He does! Compared to Him the thoughts of man are minuscule. Man may puff Himself up, but that means nothing when he is compared to our Lord. Again, God asks, “Fools, when will you be wise?” The answer is that they will never be wise in and of themselves. Only when they turn to our Lord will they be wise.
Fools/wicked rulers “band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out” (Psalm 94:21-23). These fools/wicked rulers only care about themselves and live in such a way as to think they will not be held accountable. But they will be held accountable. Our Lord knows all about them.
Let us not fret! We know our Lord hears. We know our Lord sees. We know our Lord will take action. We know our Lord rebuke them. We know our Lord even knows the fools’/wicked rulers’ thoughts. We know the awesomeness of our Lord and the puniness of man. We know a puffed up man is just dust with a breeze to be blown away. We also know that our Lord is our stronghold and the rock of our refuge. We are eternally safe in Him and will never be moved. “What can man do to me?” (Psalm 56:4, 11; 18:6; Hebrews 13:6). Dear Father I am so grateful to know that You are Sovereign over all things and nothing, absolutely nothing escapes Your notice. I am grateful to know that one day You will have the final Word and things on this earth will be wrapped up as we know it. Oh, to be in glory with Jesus and all who love Him! I so look forward to that day, but You have purpose for me being here now and may I be faithful to live out those purposes by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
