LABOR, FEAR NOT— LIVE FOR JESUS

LABOR, FEAR NOT— LIVE FOR JESUS

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” —Matthew 9:37-38

And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. —Matthew 10:14

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. —Matthew 10:28-31

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. —Matthew 10:39

Oh that we would be faithful to go out into His abundant harvest fields and be a laborer for Him to bring in the harvest. Yes, let us go and if we receive opposition because of His Word let us just leave and go on to another. We are not to fear as we go. What can man do to us? “So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Man can only kill the body which would send those who trust in Jesus to be with Him forever. That’s not so bad— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_FmqI7QKck

Our Lord greatly values our lives. This is astounding as we consider how grand and awesome He is and how small and insignificant we are considering the giganticness of all His creation.   Just consider Jesus coming to this planet, taking on a body, living among us, dying for us, rising for us, ascending for us, coming again for us and now presently preparing an eternal dwelling place for us. This awesomeness is hard to put into words. But this is how much He cares for us. This is how much He loves us. Astounding!

Why would we not want to give up our own ways to follow His ways? Why would we seek to live our own lives and focus on the temporary? For a person to live according to their own desires would mean eternal loss. To live for Jesus is eternal gain. So… who are you and I living for— self or Jesus? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPqHufcoreg

Yes Dear Father may I faithfully live for Jesus by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Thank You for Your love for me. Oh that I would faithfully live for You and be working in Your harvest fields.   May it be so today.
