YOU ARE SERVING SOMEONE!

YOU ARE SERVING SOMEONE!

Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him. —Malachi 3:18

Jesus said, “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16, 20).   Fruit is the outward identity of the inward reality. What a person is will be seen in what a person does— the fruit seen produced by his life. So… what fruit is there that is seen in your life?

In the verse above the distinction between the righteous and the wicked is that the righteous serves God. This service comes out of a love for God and people (Matthew 22:37). The wicked do not serve God, they are self-serving because they do not love Jesus, the Son of God sent from our Father (John 8:42). The wicked don’t serve God. They do not do the will of God. Instead they are doing the will of the devil, serving him and need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26). Those who are wicked and do not serve God, do not do His will are actually doing the will of the devil whom they are captives of and entrapped by! They must “be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth” (II Timothy 2:25).

People can come from the vast array of social, economic, religious, non-religious or ethnic background, but they still need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.”   Again, they will be recognized by their serving God or not serving Him. So the question is: Does your life reflect that you are righteous or wicked? Are you doing the will of God or Satan’s will? Are you serving King Jesus or serving the devil? Those are the only two choices! Those who know you best will know who you are really serving; whose you really are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQd3K2Fxp4   May service to King Jesus be your life’s service!

Dear Father may I be a faithful servant of my Lord Jesus. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So be it!
