PLACEMENT OF YOUR TRUST

PLACEMENT OF YOUR TRUST

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. —Psalms 20:7

His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior; the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. —Psalms 147:10-11

Who are you trusting? Who is your savior? Do you expect government to save you? If so, then you are putting your trust in the wrong place. There is only One Savior and His Name is Jesus!

Governments, armies, politicians are not saviors… they are supposed to be servants.   But it is becoming more rare that they are servants. In this world many tyrants are in control of countries. But that does not negate the fact that our trust is in the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Governments, armies and politicians may think they are in control, but our king is moving things along according to His purposes. He is in control of all things— He is Sovereign over all. He is our Savior.

Make sure you have your trust in the right place.   As we do we will run with perseverance the race He has marked out for us (Hebrews 12:1-2). Yes, when our trust is in the right One we will keep our eyes fixed on Jesus… the Author and Finisher of our faith. So let us keep our focus!  “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?” (Jeremiah 12:5). Focus on the race He has marked out for you today, tomorrow and for the rest of your life!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1jmqVU4RDo And trust the One that has marked out the race for you and helps you run it!

Dear Father I will trust You above all. Jesus is my King and may I live for Him and Him alone. I am grateful to know that He is my Savior and that I am safe in His hands regardless of what nations, armies or politicians are doing. Yes, thank You that I am solidly safe in Him by the power of Your Holy Spirit and by the authority of Jesus, Your Son. I am grateful.
