SAFE IN HIS HANDS!

SAFE IN HIS HANDS!

Of a truth, God will not do wickedly, and the Almighty will not pervert justice. Who gave him charge over the earth, and who laid on him the whole world? If he should set his heart to it and gather to himself his spirit and his breath, all flesh would perish together, and man would return to dust. —Job 34:12-15

Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul. I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” —Psalm 142:4-5

My Lord is “my refuge and portion in the land of the living.” He is always there for me and never abandons me. My Lord God Almighty never does wickedness or pervert justice. That is the arena of Satan, demons and fallen, sinful man. Nobody gives God permission to do anything. He ultimately is in charge of all things and works through all things to accomplish His desires. We may not understand it, but like Job will find out in the coming chapters that he does not know very much as God questions him. So it is with you and I or any person on the earth— as smart as we think we might be we pale to insignificance when compared to our all-wise, eternal and perfect Lord God Almighty. Yeh, we do not understand so much. Pride produces “know it alls.” Humility produces right perspective of self.

If He were to “set his heart to it and gather to himself his spirit and his breath, all flesh would perish together, and man would return to dust.” And just like that we would be dead! That is all He has to do to wipe out all of mankind if that was His desire.   We are feeble and fragile, and frail— even the most fit among us. Even the prideful people of strength that think they are stronger than others and that makes them something they are really not are weak in when compared to God.   Prideful man has such a skewed view of themselves.

The strongest individual, the strongest people group, the strongest nation and even the combined strength of the whole earth are nothing when compared to our all-powerful Lord God Almighty. “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you” (Romans 12:3).  So let us have a proper perspective of our selves and of God!

Remember that in the most difficult of circumstances and when nobody seems to take notice of us or seem to even care about us— God is there! He always is. Let us put aside the pride and trust Him with our lives. He has our life here in His hands and our eternal destiny is engraved on His palms—- those who trust the finished work of Jesus dying on the cross for our sin and rising from the dead to give us life will be saved by calling on His Name (Romans 10:13).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk Trust Him who is in control of all things and working through all things! Dear Father there is none like You who is over everything. You are in total control even when our puny minds cannot see that with the circumstance we find ourselves in. Oh, that I would trust You fully right to my last breath. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
