DEATH…

DEATH…

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. —Psalm 116:15

Why is the death of His saints precious in His sight? It is because after death they will be in glory with Him! The redemption will be fully complete. The hope will be fully known. The temporal will have been put down and the eternal, perfect state would now have begun.

Brother and sister, this is what is ahead for us. So keep running the race with perseverance and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2). One day that race will be over. One day we will be with Jesus and all who love Him. What a joyous day that will be.

Praise God that He has taken the fear of death away from us (Hebrews 2:14-15). “Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.  (II Corinthians 5:6-8). Let me ask you as I ask my self— “Today, right now, is that my preference and your preference? Would you and I actually want to be with the Lord right now?” May our attitude and desire be like that of the Apostle Paul— “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me” (Philippians 1:23-26).   As long as we are on the race course of life He has marked out for us we are to be encouraging others! May we do so https://youtu.be/bo9ZWX1lEKI?t=1018

Dear Father I so look forward to being with Jesus and all who love Him in that perfect place where sin’s influence will never be. Yes, I so look forward to that day. Until then may I seek to encourage others in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus. So may it be!
