God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah —Psalm 46:1-3

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah —Psalm 46:10-11

Brothers and Sisters we have a Refuge and a Strength that is our help. When trouble comes we need not fear. Even when the mountains are shaken and the sea is raging all around us we can have rest in Him. Don’t allow the circumstances to steal the peace we have in Him. Just be still and take comfort in our Fortress. He will be exalted among the nations. Even today He is being exalted among the nations as many are responding to the gospel. One day He will be fully exalted among the nations!

No storm can move us. Nothing can shake us. Trouble cannot defeat us. Just let us remember who we are in Him and who He is to us— refuge, strength, and our help. Who else would we go to? What else could be our refuge? Can help come from any other place or person? Why would we not run to Him and trust in Him? Yes, regardless of the unrest around us let us focus on Him and be comforted in knowing Him as we fully trust Him. Dear Father may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
