STAND IN AWE OF HIM!

STAND IN AWE OF HIM!

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.  He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him! For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. —Psalm 33:7-9

Mankind as a whole should be awestruck at our Lord who made the heavens and this world. Not only did He make all that we see and don’t see, but He also holds it all together and keeps it going.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. —John 1:1-3

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. –Colossians 1:15-17

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. —Hebrews 1:1-3

Yes, all mankind should fear our Lord and stand in awe of Him. But that is not the case as we look at this fallen, sinful world. How sad is it that many do not want anything to do with Him. Many actually hate Him. How can this be? The father of sin, Satan, has blinded people and is holding them captive to do His will whether people understand this or not (II Corinthians 4:4; II Timothy 2:23-26).   They need to come to their senses to escape the prison He has them in— the prison of self-centeredness which takes all kinds of forms.

Fellow follower of Jesus we have been commissioned by Jesus to take the Good News to people that they can come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil.   May we be doing so that many other people will come to “stand in awe of Him!” Yes Father may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zj13RBN5-H8&list=RDZj13RBN5-H8&start_radio=1
