See, I have called… And behold, I have appointed… —Exodus 31:2, 6

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? —Psalm 27:1

Fellow follower of Jesus, He has called you, He has appointed you and so He will do in and through you what He called and appointed to be done in and through you. Will you trust Him? Will you be faithful to Him even when you may not understand? He is our salvation and we need not fear. He is the strength of our lives and we do not need to be afraid.   Do you know this? Are you applying this to your life? Reflect on your life and see. Your actions and the motivations behind them will reveal your trust or distrust in Him!

What our Lord calls us to do He will complete in us. Yes, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6). So, what He calls us to He will complete. What He has appointed us to will be fulfilled according to His purposes. We can be absolutely confident of this.

For those who know Him we are told “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).  As often as we may have read or heard that verse, are we really convinced of it? Even when we may be appointed to suffer? (I Peter 3:17, 18; 4:19). Yes, let us take courage and comfort in knowing that what God calls and appoints us to be and do will be done!

Dear Father I am so grateful to know what You have started in me You will complete. I am greatly encouraged and comforted in that. May I be faithful to Your desires in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it.
