I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. —Psalm 121:1-2

I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. —Psalm 123:1

Where do you look for your help? You depend on yourself? You depend on others? Or do you truly depend on the One who created you? My help comes from our Creator, He who sits enthroned in heave!

We are going to find ourselves in various situations in life— good and bad.   Those situations, whatever they are, are always in need of His help. If we seek to go through things alone then we are not depending on Him. We have to ask ourselves “Whose glory are we seeking?” and “Who are we seeking to honor?”

Why would I not seek Him? He said “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) and “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). It would be foolish of me and is foolish of me to seek to go through any situation without His help.

So what situations are you facing today? Seek His help! What situations will you face tomorrow or for the rest of your life? Seek His help! Yes dear Father may this be the case for the rest of my life. In situations that are good or bad may I seek Your help before the throne of grace in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
