ONLY ONE CRUCIFIED CORNERSTONE!

For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  —I Corinthians 2:2-5

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. —Psalm 118:22

            Where does your faith lie? To what is it based off? Is it based off “the wisdom of men” or “the power of God?” Is it based off Jesus, the Cornerstone, or is there some other measurement that you have?

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.  The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” —Matthew 7:24-27

            “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17).  So where is your faith founded on? The power of God… the Cornerstone… the Word of God?   Or, is your faith place on something or somebody else? Everything that is not based on God’s power, on the Cornerstone, on the Word of God and on the finished work at the cross will come eternally crashing down. Dear Father I am so grateful for Jesus and all that He is. I stand amazed at Your mercy and grace toward me. I am awed that You would even want to know me. I am thankful that I will be with Jesus and all who love Him in glory one day. I am joyful that I can serve You now and may I do so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
