OUR LORD IS GOOD, FORGIVING, LOVING, A TEACHER, MERCIFUL…

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. —Psalm 86:5

Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. — Psalm 86:11

 “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” —Romans 9:15

So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. —Romans 9:18

            “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Those who call on His Name will know His goodness, His forgiveness and His steadfast love. Brother and sister, How has He been good to you? What has He forgiven you? How has He loved you?

            “The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed” (Isaiah 40:4).  How has He taught you? What has He taught you? Are you walking in the way He has taught you? Are you being obedient?

            “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:2-5). How has He shown you mercy and compassion? This is His will toward you for His purposes! Mercy and compassion on us— Praise His Name!
