MAY THE EARTH BE FILLED WITH HIS GLORY!

MAY THE EARTH BE FILLED WITH HIS GLORY!

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.  Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen! —Psalm 72:18-19

What wondrous things have you seen our Lord do? The statement above says He does wondrous things, so what have you seen Him do? The desire of David was to see the earth filled with His glory. Is that our desire as well? It so, how are we serving Him that His glory could be seen in and through us?

Think about this— Jesus said His followers would be witnesses in all the world beginning at Jerusalem (Acts 1:8). He also commanded us to make disciples (Matthew 28:16-20). A person who “calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13), but that is just the beginning.   They have just entered the race marked out for them (Hebrews 12:1-2). “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good” (I Peter 2:2). Now the newborn baby in Christ needs to be discipled “to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Jesus sent us with His authority to make obedient disciples to Him of all nations. So, how are you doing in this?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJq1N4PiH28

Most followers of Jesus have never been discipled and so have never discipled anyone. They have never been part of the wondrous discipleship process of seeing God transform a life that His glory could be seen in and through a discipled person. That could change if a person desires it to.

There are 650 disciple-making movements world-wide and very few in the U.S. — less than a handful. We are looking to Jesus for that to change in our area. What is a disciple-making movement (DMM)? It is a rapid multiplication of disciples over a short period of time. It is following Jesus‘command to make disciples that obey and make more disciples who in turn make more disciples (Matthew 29:16-20). It is living out II Timothy 2:2 which says “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” It is about reliable, faithful followers of Jesus who desire to impact others who will then impact others. Dear Father You do wondrous things every single day.   Oh, that we would see them and be part of them. May You be pleased to draw out the 60 people You desire to network together to make disciples according to Your Word that Your glory would be seen more in this earth.   May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYSyt6uOGyA
