For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this? —Esther 4:14

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” —Acts 5:19-20

So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice. —Acts 5:38-39

There are those who oppose our Lord Jesus Christ and they will oppose those who follow Him as well. God has raised you up for “such a time as this.”   We are told in Acts 17:26 that “he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.” You live at this time because God appointed you to live at this time. You live where you live because God has appointed you to live there. He has purpose for you. He has given us a commission and He will fulfill that commission through us as we are obedient to Him. What He desires to do through you may be opposed by man, but they cannot thwart His will He desires to accomplish through you.

So, what does He want to do through you? We know His desire is that we share the gospel. So, do it! We know that He wants us to make disciples. So, do it. All this comes out of our relationship with our Lord God Almighty. We are to love Him and love our neighbor. As we do His will He will accomplish His desires through us.

But let it be known that if you and I do not want to do what He desires to do through us, then He will find someone else. His desire is that you and I lovingly and willingly serve Him Who has our best interests in mind. His plans and purposes will be fulfilled. He will work through those who are yielded to Him and desire to do His will. Will You?   Will I? Oh dear Father may we be faithful to Your will and Word in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
