BY FAITH YOU…
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. —Hebrews 11:1
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. —Hebrews 11:6
It is a challenge every time I read those words. What would our Lord write about me if I were included in this chapter? By faith Ted… Or what would our Lord write about you if you were included in this chapter? By faith you…
The actions of those mentioned in this chapter took place because of “the assurance of things hoped for” and “the conviction of things not seen.” They sought to please Him by drawing near to Him, believing in Him and seeking Him. Is that my desire and your desire— to please Him, draw near to Him and seek Him?
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. —Romans 12:1-2
How am I truly worshipping our Lord? Have I offered myself to Him for His plan and purposes? Am I living holy for Him? Do I truly live to please Him? Is the world conforming me to its pattern? Or, am I being transformed by my mind being renewed which in turn enables me to “test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will?”
“By faith” what has our Lord done through me? “By faith” what is our Lord doing through me? “By faith” what does our Lord want to do through me? If I am being faithful then by faith He will fulfill what He desires in and through me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhk_5c6H-yc
Dear Father may I truly live “by faith” that You would accomplish what You desire in and through me. May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
