The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.  And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us. —Acts 17:24-27

God not only made this world, but he also made everything in it.  Do we take the time to look at what He has made?  When was the last time you checked out a flower of a tree, a bee or a bird, a thundering waterfall or a quiet brook, the endless waves on a lake or ocean…?  All these and all on and in the earth He made.  Let us take the time and appreciate His creation, be thankful for it and praise Him.  Make it a point to check out part of His creation today!

He is Lord of not just the earth, but heaven as well.  All the universe and all where He dwells are by His hand.  Look up into the night sky and praise Him for His design and immensity.  There is none like Him in power or like Him in any other way.  It is wonderful to know that not only did He create all this, but that He also holds it all together (Colossians 1:17).  This is so comforting to know in a day and age where all kinds of strange and godless science are being advocated.  We can trust God and what He says above that which man advances as truth but is a lie (Romans 1:18ff).

He is so awesomely infinite that no building can contain Him and He is in need of nothing.  Nor does He need humans to serve Him.  He is and needs nothing to add to His character or being.  Instead, He is the one that gives life to all mankind and every living creature.  He causes each one to breathe!  Wow, think about that!

Not only did He make all mankind for one man, Adam, but He also allotted the times that each would live and the places they would live.  Think about this.  Your existence is no mistake.  Where you live is no mistake.  The time in history that you are living is no mistake.  God appointed these for you as well as the nations of the earth!  Rejoice!  God has specific purpose for you (Ephesians 2:10).  Be faithful in your purpose and place of life He has planted you in!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIpnW3rtRQ4

Dear Father, help me to understand Your desires for me and then to be faithful in them.  May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
