‘Speak, LORD, for your servant hears.’ —I Samuel 3:9

Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth! —Palm 78:1

Do you want to hear His voice?  Are your ears open to what He has to say?  Can you say with Samuel, “Speak, LORD, for your servant hears” and truly have that desire to be His servant, to do what He says when you hear?  Are you open to what He desires to teach you?

If we answer yes to those questions then we need to be ready to be on the move.  He will mature us in various ways.  Down in the innermost parts of our being His Word will penetrate— “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:12-13).  Yes, in the deepest recesses of our mind His Word works with the thoughts and intentions of our purposes, plans, prescriptions, personality, persuasions and people connections.  Is it all for His glory or are we holding out to receive glory for ourselves?

Do I really have a servant’s heart?  Am I truly seeking to be the Lord’s servant or am I self-serving?  Why do I think like I think?  Why am I what I am?  Why do I do what I do?  Am I truly listening as a servant seeking to honor Him above all?  Yes Lord, speak to me.  I am listening and seek to be your servant.  That is my desire and may it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFxOGd4P4JA
