OUR HOPE!

Christ in you, the hope of glory. —Colossians 1:27

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. —Galatians 2:20

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. —Titus 2:11-14

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. —Revelation 12:11

This is the only hope that anybody has—- “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Without Jesus there is no hope…none. Somebody has said that “without Christ life on earth is the closest to heaven an unsaved person will ever get and life on earth is the closet to hell a saved person will ever get.” Truly, Jesus only is our “hope of glory.” He is the only way to glory, He is the only Name to call on for salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). All other ways are hopeless and give false hope. Jesus only is our hope! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjtSwSrE8ps

Hope of glory is not what you do, but Who you know. It is relationship with Jesus. Then what you do flows out of your love for God and for people (Matthew 22:37-40). Our love for Jesus will be seen in our obedience to Him (John 14:6) and will lead to “bearing much fruit” as we abide in Him (John 15:1-17). This is one reason He chose us— “so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you” (John 15:16). Our hope of glory is Jesus. We will be with Him one day and with all who love Him in glory. Until then, our hope of glory is to be lived out to bring glory to His Name on earth. May we do so as we walk through today.

Dear Father, thank You for Jesus being my hope of glory. Without Him I would have no hope, but now I do in Him. May I gratefully live a life that is pleasing to You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son. May this be so until the time I am in glory with Jesus. So be it!
