DO HIS WILL!
DO HIS WILL!
Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.” —Numbers 13:30-32
These 12 men were sent to explore the land. It was not up to them to make a decision to go into the land— “The Lord said to Moses, “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites” (Numbers 13:1-2). The Lord was giving them the land and Caleb & Joshua were ready to go into the land to take possession of it. But the 10 others said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.” Two men wanted to be obedient and they did not see obstacles because they trusted the Lord was guiding them. The other 10 saw the obstacles and did not trust the Lord to guide them.
Does this happen today? Are those seeking to follow the Lord and enter the work He desires them to do up against a majority group that will only see obstacles and not the goodness and greatness of the Lord? Is the majority of the church distrusting of the Lord to accomplish great things through His people? Does the majority of the church lack the faith to go forward and trust the Lord for things they cannot do in their own strength? Or, is the church only comfortable with doing those things that they can accomplish in their own strength without the supernatural need of our Lord God Almighty?
What is it you have seen the Lord do that you could not do? How have you seen His hand at work beyond your own strength? Or are you comfortable with the status quo? Do you have a desire for the Lord to work through you to accomplish what He desires or are you satisfied with what you can do on your own? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rR_Rdb1CTE&list=PLNthtYb5e0ZrIfazjXZThaPHVBMvJOc9k
Dear Father, I want to be available to anything You desire to do through me. May I be sensitive to Your guidance and obedient to it— all for Your honor and glory and for the benefit of others. May this be so on the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus Your Son.
