ONLY ONE WAY!

ONLY ONE WAY!

But I have been the Lord your God ever since you came out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me. —Hosea 13:4

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” —John 14:6

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” —Acts 4:12

Fire! Fire! There is only one way of escape and people are fleeing to that way of escape. I cannot imagine anyone with flames licking at them who would stand and argue that there was another way of escape when there wasn’t. Not with smoke filling their lungs and choking on the toxic air. No, they would get out to safety as soon as they could.

Well, flames are licking at those who do not know Jesus. Whether they realize it or not they are breathing eternally toxic air and will die the 2nd death if they do not take the only way of escape. We have the blueprint for escape, the floor plan to point them to safety. Smoke has blinded the eyes of the lost. They need someone to go to them and point them to the way of escape.

There is no way around this my dear brothers and sisters. Our Fire Chief has sent us into the fire to rescue people. What firefighter would just leave people to their own devices when they are in imminent danger of death in a fire? As firefighters for Jesus who have been sent into the fire, will we go? Will we “save others by snatching them from the fire” (Jude 1:23). We do so by showing them the only way of escape. Jesus is the only way that a person can be saved. Dear Father, may I be faithful in point people to Jesus today. May I give them direction to the only Way of escape from sin, death, judgment and show them the only way to Life.
