FACE TO FACE

I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete. —II John 1:12

The best communication is face to face. We live in a day and age when we have so many ways to communicate, but not face to face. Think about it. Even the Apostle John knew the best way to communicate was face to face. That was his desire even above writing. God sent His Son in a human body to communicate His message to the people of this world. That is the best way to communicate.

How many of us have said, “Wow, I would have liked to have been living in the time of Jesus to be physically in His presence. Then I could have asked Him any question on my mind and heard His answers.” Yes, we would love to have face to face communication with Him!

But, God’s Holy Spirit actually resides in those of us who have called on the Name of the Lord Jesus for salvation. In a real sense we can have a face to face conversation if we only yield to His Holy Spirit with us. This is an inward face to face communication. Dear Father, I truly do want that face to face conversation with You today. May I be quiet, yielding to Your Holy Spirit and listen. May this be so in the authority of Jesus.
