JUDGMENT IS COMING…

JUDGMENT IS COMING…

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches? Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. God’s Judgment on Assyria “Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of my anger, in whose hand is the club of my wrath! I send him against a godless nation, I dispatch him against a people who anger me, to seize loot and snatch plunder, and to trample them down like mud in the streets. —Isaiah 10:1-6

Woe to those who make unjust laws. Woe to those who issue oppressive decrees. Woe to those who deprive the poor of their rights. Woe to those who withhold justice from the oppressed. Woe to those who make widows their prey. Woe to those who rob the fatherless. Do you think the Lord is not watching? Oh yes, He is!

There will come a day of reckoning. You can be sure of that. The United States is not immune from disaster for afar and who would help us if we were attacked? Most nations hate the United States and “Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death” (Proverbs 11:4). The wealth of the United States will not save it. The only thing that can save the U.S. is righteousness— a righteousness that comes from God.

God can use any nation as His “rod of my anger” or the “club of my wrath.” He works through godless nations to bring down other godless nations. He dispatches a nation; He does it to go against a people who anger Him. Do you not think that God is angry with the United States? Let’s ponder for a few moments.

· How many unborn have been and are being slaughtered… “legally?”

· What about the rampant sexual immorality that is taking place?

· Do people live for God or materialism?

· Is the government making just laws?

· Who puts these leaders in power?

· Do leaders issue oppressive decrees?

· Are leaders truly concerned for and looking after the poor?

· Is government withholding justice to the oppressed?

· Does government take advantage of widows?

· Are leaders robbing the fatherless?

We would be hard pressed to say no to any of the above. Now if God judged in the past because of these things, why would He not judge us? His Church in the U.S. needs to be about His business now… we will be affected by judgment when it comes. The U.S. is not exempted from the judgment of God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYbX-3_a98U
