BURDENS

BURDENS

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. —Psalm 68:19

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28-30

Is there any burden the Lord cannot carry? Of course not and we are told that He “daily bears our burdens.” Do we understand this? Are we allowing Him to carry them or are we trying to carry them? Oh, that we would learn to allow Him to carry all our burdens! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uihzbujmr1k&index=8&list=PLGWSgIMnZa935VTxstnOqA0rsSBBFBhb7

In the verses above Jesus clearly invites us to come to Him with our burdens and He “will give us rest.” Why struggle with our burdens instead of bringing them to Him and find rest in Him? Oh, that we would do this and not try to carry the burdens ourselves. May it be so!

Dear Father, I am so grateful that I do not have to carry burdens. Please help me to always bring them to You. You have promised to carry them. I trust You to do so. May I do this in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.
