PEOPLE WILL EXPERIENCE TERROR

PEOPLE WILL EXPERIENCE TERROR

For the days are coming when… People will beg the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and plead with the hills, ‘Bury us. —Luke 23:29-30

People do not want to trust Jesus for various reasons, but the main reason is that they do not want to be under His authority and live for Him according to His desires. They rather live according to their own desires. But that does not do away with the truth that He exists and that they will be judged by Him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYbX-3_a98U

He will come back to earth at some point in the future and “Then everyone—the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy, the powerful, and every slave and free person—all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. “And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?” (Revelation 6:15-17). People will want to hide from Him, but there is no hiding from Him.

“We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name” (Acts 10:39-43).

Fellow follower of Jesus may we share the Good News with those around us because “everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” Those who have yet to trust Jesus “stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:18) and “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them” (John 3:36). This is eternally serious “For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:30-31). Let us share the Good News with people and tell them about the bad news if they reject Jesus. Yes, lest us warn them!

Dear Father, please help me to share the gospel clearly with the lost and encourage them to call on the Name of Jesus that they might be saved from Hell and saved to an eternal relationship with You through Him. May it be so through the power of Your Holy Spirit!
