For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity. Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness. —Matthew 23:27-28

Beware of fakes, frauds and false guides. They look so good on the outside— like a bright shinny apple, but inside the outer skin they are rotten to the core. So there are religious leaders that look good on the outside, but their core is filled with hypocrisy. They are putting on a mask and what is seen is not what they are on the inside. Outwardly they may appear to be righteous, but their core is rotten lawlessness.

Fellow follower of Jesus, none that follow Jesus are experientially perfect, positionally we are, but that does not justify our being something on the inside that we are not on the outside. We should seek to yield to the Holy Spirit of God to temper our inner man that the way we talk and live is consistent to who we are at the core. Oh, may we live righteously and may that righteousness flow from our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. May it be so!

Dear Father, may I live a consistent faithful life to honor You. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
