The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God. —Hebrews 1:3
Jesus “expresses the very character of God” because that is who He is! The Jews wanted to kill him on numerous occasions because of who He said He was— “So the Jewish leaders began harassing Jesus for breaking the Sabbath rules. But Jesus replied “My Father is always working, and so am I.” So the Jewish leaders tried all the harder to find a way to kill him. For he not only broke the Sabbath, he called God his Father, thereby making himself equal with God” (John 5:16-18). Also in John 10:32-32 we read that ‘“Once again the people picked up stones to kill him. Jesus said, “At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?” They replied, “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.”’ By claiming God as His Father Jesus was revealing that He was one with the Father! You and I might not be able to explain this fully, but God’s Word is clear. The Father and Son are separate yet one. Praise God for His Son, Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDgmJFw6F64&list=PLcHqC9YNzSaD-O-rkP9o8hDA9jJ_oja4l&index=7
Fellow follower of our Lord Jesus Christ let us rejoice in our glorious Lord— the Creator and Sustainer of all things (Hebrews 1:2). There is no other like our King. No one comes close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97Lx2DjMENY&index=42&list=PLcHqC9YNzSaD-O-rkP9o8hDA9jJ_oja4l
Dear Father, thank You for sending Your Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. I am so grateful for Him and all You have done through Him. Oh, that I would live a faithful life to honor Him. May it be so in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power.
