NO FEAR OF GOD

Neither the king nor his attendants showed any signs of fear or repentance at what they heard. —Jeremiah 36:24

What a sad situation when leaders of a nation show no fear toward what the Lord God Almighty has to say— even when He is warning that judgment is coming! They not only don’t fear, but they are unwilling to repent from their wicked ways to follow His ways. The destruction they bring upon their nation is their own doing for disobedience.

How dare such puny men to throw their fist up in defiance toward the Lord God Almighty? They are lost in their selfish lusts, blinded by the small thoughts of their minds and looking to that which is only temporary. But they will answer for their thoughts, attitudes and actions. That which we all have in common, death, will overtake all of us one day and then we will stand before Him who knows all things and judges all men. None will escape that day! Worldly leaders beware! Fear the Lord God Almighty and repent, turning from your wicked ways to follow His ways as revealed in His Word. If you do not, then you will face the wrath of the Almighty.
