TEACH OUT OF RELATIONSHIP

Those who taught my word ignored me. —Jeremiah 2:8

“For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all! —Jeremiah 2:13

Here are teachers without application of the Word themselves. These are leaders without submission to the Lord themselves. They are guides pointing people to God without going to Him themselves. They are empty shells looking good on the outside but dry on the inside. They are hypocrites in the truest sense.

Do we thirst after the One whose Words we teach? —“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God” (Psalm 42:1). Are we longing to spend time with Jesus, longing to be with Jesus? Does our heart ache to see the One who loves us so much that He made it possible for us to be with Him in glory one day?

Let us hear from the Lord God Almighty and then teach His Word (Isaiah 50:4). What does He want to teach us and then trust Him to teach that to others through us by His Spirit? “Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them” (Jeremiah 1:17). Yeh, let us be obedient to our Lord God Almighty! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zaaiFp4RSM

Dear Father, may I teach Your Word as You teach me. Oh, that what I teach comes out of my relationship with You. May it be so in the authority of Jesus and through the power of Your Holy Spirit.
