THE LION IS COMING!

Inquire about the words written in the scroll that has been found. For the Lord’s great anger has been poured out on us because our ancestors have not obeyed the word of the Lord. —II Chronicles 34:21

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and he refused to humble himself when the prophet Jeremiah spoke to him directly from the Lord. He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, even though he had taken an oath of loyalty in God’s name. Zedekiah was a hard and stubborn man, refusing to turn to the Lord, the God of Israel. Likewise, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful. They followed all the pagan practices of the surrounding nations, desecrating the Temple of the Lord that had been consecrated in Jerusalem. The Lord, the God of their ancestors, repeatedly sent his prophets to warn them, for he had compassion on his people and his Temple. But the people mocked these messengers of God and despised their words. They scoffed at the prophets until the Lord’s anger could no longer be restrained and nothing could be done. So the Lord brought the king of Babylon against them. The Babylonians killed Judah’s young men, even chasing after them into the Temple. They had no pity on the people, killing both young men and young women, the old and the infirm. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar. —II Chronicles 36:11-17

Then Pilate had Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip. The soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and they put a purple robe on him. “Hail! King of the Jews!” they mocked, as they slapped him across the face. —John 19:1-3

The Jewish leaders replied, “By our law he ought to die because he called himself the Son of God.” —John 19:7

Mockers will mock, scoffers will scoff, deniers will deny, but the Lord God Almighty will has the Final Word. He is coming back as a fierce Lion, not as the meek Lamb. He is coming to silence the mockers, scoffers and deniers. Yes, now is their time to mock, scoff and deny, but when the Lord God Almighty returns these disbelievers will bow the knee and acknowledge that Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father (Philippians 2:11). There will be no denying, scoffing or denying at that time! It will be “a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31)— DREADFUL, TERRRORFYING!

They have been disobedient. They have rejected, mocked, denied, persecuted and killed the Lord’s messengers that were sent by Him to warn them to repent of their sin turn to Him. Then they kill God’s Son, but He rose from the dead, ascended back to Heaven and is coming again to judge the world in righteousness. None will escape that time— “Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty” (Revelations 19:15) and “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:14-15). TURN TO JESUS NOW! FOLLOWERS OF JESUS REJOICE!
