This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel. —I Chronicles 17:7
What has the Lord taken you from and what has He selected you for? Well, we know He took us out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:12-14). We also know that He saved us from sin to a relationship with Him. He wants us to continually be in communication with Him through prayer (Luke 18:1-8) and through His Word (II Timothy 3:16-17). It is clear He also selected us to be part of His church to fellowship with others who love Him (Acts 2:42) and to bear witness of Him to those who do not know Him (Acts 1:8). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjazfFvqsig&index=21&list=PLqQhyErJxSIT-7S-ueQHW1fXk0guRr9rV
Those who have truly trusted the Lord Jesus Christ are God’s workmanship. They have been created in Christ Jesus for good works which God has prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10). There are many things we know God has for us and then there are other things we have to trust Him to guide us into as we follow Him (Psalm 32:8). As we walk through today may we be faithful with what we know He desires of us and trust Him to guide us into the unknown.
Dear Father, I trust You to guide me in the way You desire me to go. May I be faithful with those things You have revealed to me and faithful with the things You will reveal to me. May it be so in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power.
