This is what the Lord says: This dry valley will be filled with pools of water! You will see neither wind nor rain, says the Lord, but this valley will be filled with water. You will have plenty for yourselves and your cattle and other animals. —II Kings 3:16-17
This One who causes a dry riverbed to be filled with water without rain can do anything He desires. He has the power to do so. Surely this One who created all things can bring water to where none exists by supernatural means. This is Who He is— the All Powerful One! He can also do whatever He desires in your life, things that are impossible from the human standpoint, things that baffle those who do not know Jesus.
What is it that looks impossible to you today from the human standpoint? Have you brought it before the Lord? Are you seeking Him to work in the situation? Do you trust Him to work out what He desires? Do you believe He has Your best interests in mind? Do you believe He is working and will work in the situation? Are you willing to “wait upon the Lord?” (Psalm 37:9; Isaiah 40:31). Are you just looking for relief or are you also looking for what the Lord is seeking to teach you or how He wants to use you in the situation you are now in? We do not go through situations for no reason. The Lord is always at work through all things to bring about His purposes. Are you yielding to His purposes or just seeking your own?
The verses above are when an army from three nations marched for seven days with no water around for themselves or their animals. Without water they were in danger of being defeated, but the Lord miraculously provided water for them. There may be times when we may feel like we are at the end, but seek and trust the Lord to work in His timing. You are safe in Him.
Dear Father, whatever I find myself going through, may I trust You for it. I know that You always have my best interests in mind. I also know that Your plan is moving forward on this planet. Be pleased to work through me any way You desire to accomplish Your will through Jesus Your Son and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
