“Anything is possible if a person believes.” —9:23

When we truly understand who God is, then we also know that all things are possible with Him. But just because all things are possible with Him does not mean that He definitely will do all things.

The context of the verse above is when the dad brought his demon possessed boy to the disciples and they could not drive it out. The man asked Jesus to… “If you can.” This is when Jesus said that “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The man responded, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief.” The dad had said, “If you can” and not “I know you can.”

Personally, I know Jesus can do anything He desires to. He can heal any disease, reconcile any broken relationship, steer any storm, save from sin the most wretched person and give peace, hope and purpose… Yes, He can do anything He desires. Then, there are some things He plans not to do… for our good!

What does He want to do in our lives today? Does He want to do something through us today to impact another person or persons? Do we believe He can use us? Believe it!

Dear Father, help me to believe and trust what You want to accomplish in and through me today to bring honor and glory to Jesus. May this be done in the power of the Holy Spirit!
