TOSSED OR TRUSTING

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. —James 1:5-8

Who or what is your first most loyalty? If you are wavering from God being your first loyalty, your first priority, the One you are committed to above all, then you are like “a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcjTCxeGDDc. Not only that, but the passage above states that a person who has divided loyalty is “unstable in everything they do.”

Are you wavering in your relationship with the Lord God Almighty? Then according to the passage above that wavering will affect every other area of our life. Where are you placing your faith? If it is not in God then you are in trouble. Instead of allowing whatever it is to cause you to waver in your relationship with God, ask Him for wisdom in dealing with it and He promises to give it to you. You need to ask… and then trust. Will you?

Father, please help me to keep our relationship as first priority. May I be loyal to You above all others. Thank You for the wisdom You give when going through difficulty and at all other times. May I be faithful in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
