END TIMES PEOPLE

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! —II Timothy 3:1-5

“In the last days there will be very difficult times.” Let us take a look at the list Paul gave Timothy as to how people will be in those difficult times at the end:
• People will only love themselves (self is of most importance)
• People will only love their money (which is the root of all kinds of evil)
• People will be boastful (what they do is most important)
• People will be proud (they see themselves as indispensable)
• People will scoff at God (they think they are know-it-alls)
• People will be disobedient to their parents (total lack of respecting authority)
• People will be ungrateful (very inconsiderate of others)
• People will consider nothing sacred (living atheistically)
• People will be unloving (hearts that are cold)
• People will be unforgiving (relational fractures)
• People will slander others (seeing to ruin the reputation of others)
• People will have no self-control (doing what they want when they want)
• People will be cruel (just plain mean)
• People will hate what is good (a focus on evil)
• People will betray their friends (low view of relationships)
• People will be reckless (not considerate)
• People will be puffed up with pride (think they are much larger than they are)
• People will love pleasure rather than love God (focus on fleshly desires)
• People will act religious (just going through the motions)
• People will reject the power that could make them godly (won’t yield to the Truth)
