THE RESURRECTION IS NOT NONSENSE!

But the story sounded like nonsense to the men, so they didn’t believe it. —Luke 24:11

Global warming is a nonsense claim. Back in the early 70’s we were told the earth was going to enter a new ice age. Now global warming is being called climate change. That seems to cover all the bases regardless of what type of weather we have. This is plain nonsense.

In the context of the verse above the men in the upper room believe it was nonsense when the women came back from the tomb and told them Jesus has risen from the dead. They did not believe it. The fact of the matter was that Jesus had risen from the dead and later showed Himself alive on many occasions (Matthew Chapter 28, Mark Chapter 16, Luke Chapter 24, John Chapters 20-21, Acts 1:1-11, 7:55-56, 9:1-19, I Corinthians 15 etc). The resurrection of Jesus puts the nonsense claims aside that say He did not rise from the dead and is a declaration of Who He is (Romans 1:4). Those who call on His Name will be saved (Romans 10:9-15). Or… those who do not believe can trust the nonsense claims that He did not rise from the dead and be lost. Choices determine eternal destiny— heaven or hell!

Dear Father, thank You for Jesus taking the penalty for our sins and rising from the dead the third day. I am grateful to know Him, to be able to serve Him and look so much forward to that day I will be with Him in heaven along with all those who love Him.
