BE FLAVORFUL!

Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? —Luke 14:34

Ever put salt on an apple? The sweetness of an apple gives a striking contrast to the powerful taste of salt. That salty flavor truly perks up the taste buds when combined with the sweetness of an apple.

We who follow the Lord Jesus Christ are to be like salt— a positive flavoring and stark contrast in society. Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13). What flavor are you and I bringing to our part of the world? Do we stand out in contrast to those not following Jesus by the way we live? Today may you and I bring a positively favorable seasoning to those around you that they might see Jesus in us and be impacted. May it be so!

Dear Father, please work through me today to flavor somebody’s life in Jesus authority and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
