DEMONS KNOW JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

DEMONS KNOW JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” —Mark 3:11

Demons do not need to be introduced to Jesus.  They know who He was and is— The Son of God.  This is what the Jewish leaders wanted to kill Him for —“I and the Father are one.”  Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”  “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:30-33).  Demons do not question who Jesus is.  They know who He is!—  “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”  Oh yes indeed, demons know who He is and they know they have an appointed time of judgment coming!

Demons believe without a doubt who Jesus is and they know judgment is coming.  Man, on the other hand, not only denies and disbelieves who Jesus is, but man also does not believe that judgment is coming.  Oh, but it is and we who know Jesus need to warn them about it and to encourage the lost to call on Jesus for salvation (Romans 10:13).

Brother and sister rejoice and stay close to our Lord.  Beware of the devil’s schemes, put on the armor and stand against them (Ephesians 6:11) — “in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes” (II Corinthians 2:11).  Remember this as you walk through this day.

Dear Father I am grateful to know that Jesus has power over all the creation, the creation that He created!  May I live in confidence in Him as I walk through this day and be aware of the adversary’s schemes.  Yes, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus Name!
