IN BONDAGE

Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? —Job 38:2

In our world there are so many “words without knowledge.” People do not really know what they are talking about. They come up with their own ideas and think they know.

The Apostle Paul said, “My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2-3). In Jesus is “hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Without Him people will not have the proper application of knowledge and they will not be wise. They will have worldly wisdom, but “Such ‘wisdom’ does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”

You see, II Timothy 2:25-26 is true— “Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.” Those ensnared by the devil are not rational. They are irrational because they are entrapped by the devil to do his will. God is rational and the devil is irrational.

This is why people can believe in such irrational things such as abortion, homosexuality, opposite gender identity, drug use, sexual promiscuity… A rational person will listen to God and seek to do His will. Satan is against God and will seek to have people do his will which is against God, anti-Christ and they don’t understand this. It is induced demonic thinking.

On the other hand, we have access to wisdom and knowledge and can think and act rationally because we know Jesus who has all wisdom and knowledge. May we speak according to His Word! Brother and sister, we are in spiritual warfare and we better have the armor on (Ephesians 6:10-18). “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). Our battle is not against people, but against Satan who has them ensnared and holding them captive to do his will. Let us remember this and pray accordingly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp_PolBwjEw&list=PL173F1B6551FA5D9E

Dear Father, please help me always to keep in mind who the battle is against and to love people as You do. May I not allow their communication and actions coming from spiritual bondage of the adversary to keep me from loving them. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
