LISTEN!

LISTEN!

Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. —Proverbs 1:30-31

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. —Proverbs 2:6

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. —I Corinthians 12:7

The Lord gives wisdom, knowledge and understanding. So why would we not run to Him to seek this? How is it that so many times we try to figure things out for ourselves and do not wait on Him, listen to Him and wait for His guidance? Why do we try to live life without His guidance at times? Seeking to be self-sufficient independent from the One who saved us and guides us will only lead us to dead ends. So let us run to Him!

The lost will not accept the advice of the Lord God Almighty. They will not listen when He shows them the error of their ways. They will “be filled with the fruit of their schemes” and that fruit will be rotten, temporal and their schemes will lead them down a path to eternal destruction. But, if they listen to His rebuke, acknowledge the error of their ways, receive His correction and live for Him and His ways then they will receive His wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

For those of us who know the Lord Jesus, then God has given us Spiritual gifts for the “common good” of the body of Christ, His Church. This is true at the local level, but also at the universal level. Whatever Spiritual gift or gifts He has given us is to be used in service wherever He leads us. May we be faithful to His guidance, yielded to His wisdom, knowledge and understanding as we serve Him, His people and the lost. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zaaiFp4RSM&list=RD9zaaiFp4RSM

Father, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May my life bring You honor and show forth Your glory. May it be so!
