ANCHORED!

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. —Hebrews 6:19-20

So too do we need “an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” so we will not be destroyed in hell one day. There is only one “Anchor” and that is Jesus who has entered the inner sanctuary behind the curtain on our behalf. He is the Great High Priest who shed His own blood at the cross, taking our sin upon Himself, rose from the dead and returned to Heaven. He is the “Anchor” for all who truly trust Him, evidenced by the Holy Spirit bearing fruit in their lives.

Is Jesus your “Anchor?” If so, then you are totally secure in Him and no storm can detach you from Him. Nothing in all of Creation can detach you from Him. You are secure in Him. Rejoice! Your “Anchor” will forever hold!

Dear Father, I am truly thankful for my “Anchor” and knowing I will be with Him one day in Heaven. May I live faithfully for Him until that day!
