LISTEN AND WALK IN OBEIENCE
LISTEN AND WALK IN OBEDIENCE You have declared this day that the Lord is your God and that you will walk in obedience to him, that you will keep his decrees, commands and laws—that you will listen to him. —Deuteronomy 26:17 Do remember the day when the Lord God Almighty revealed Himself to you? Remember that time when you said you would follow Him— that you would obey Him—- that you would listen to Him? I remember that day clearly in February of 1979. He said to me, “Turn from your evil ways or be condemned forever… and become a priest.” I had been reading my roommate’s New Testament when…

GOD GIVES THE VICTORY
GOD GIVES THE VICTORY Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. —Psalm 60:11-12 In any situation, it is only God who can give us the victory. Human help is worthless. Again, it is only with God that “we will gain the victory.” I cannot change a person, nor can you. I cannot change a situation, nor can you. But with God working in us and through us, He can both change a person and any situation. This is where you and I need to trust Him with any person and…

GOD ALONE IS FULLY RELIABLE
GOD ALONE IS FULLY RELIABLE You are my strength, I watch for you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. —Psalm 59:9-10 If I am honest with myself, I know how weak I am with Him. He is my strength and without Him I can do nothing (John 15:5). I need to watch for Him and line up with His ways. He is my protection and I can totally rely on Him in any circumstance and in any situation. And for that, Dear Father, I am eternally grateful. Now, oh, that I might live faithfully for You by the power of Your Holy Spirit…

GOD IS THE JUDGE
GOD IS THE JUDGE The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked. Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.” —Psalm 58:10-11 There are injustices in the world, but as followers of Jesus, we are not to avenge ourselves. “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord” (Romans 12:19). Nothing escapes His notice. “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and…

BE EXALTED, O GOD!
BE EXALTED, O GOD! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth… I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. —Psalms 57:5, 9-11 God is exalted above the heavens and His glory is over all the earth… It is just that the majority of mankind will not acknowledge it. Our God is exalted above the heavens because He made the heavens and— “The heavens…

DO NOT ADD, TAKE AWAY OR REJECT HIS WORD!
DO NOT ADD, TAKE AWAY OR REJECT HIS WORD! Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you. —Deuteronomy 4:2 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. —Proverbs 30:6 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree…

JOY RESTORED; JOY SHARED
JOY RESTORED; JOY SHARED Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. —Psalm 51:12-13 Sin robs us of the joy that His salvation brings and the only way to restore that joy is to call on Him for forgiveness, acknowledging our sin to Him and desiring to turn from it and not repeat it. We should ask Him for a willing spirit to be and do what He desires and for Him to sustain us. Do you have that joy His salvation brings? If not,…
