HE ONLY KNOWS EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME!

HE ONLY KNOWS EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME!

The Lord said to Job: “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?  Let him who accuses God answer him!”  Then Job answered the Lord: “I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth.  I spoke once, but I have no answer— twice, but I will say no more.” —Job 40:1-5

Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.  You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’  Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.  “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’  My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.  Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.” —Job 42:1-6

Will a mere man seek to correct God as if He were in error?  Job realizes the error of his ways, of his answers, of his questions and understands it would be best to put his hand over his mouth and say nothing further.

But then Job said to the Lord that he knew He “can do all things.”  Job understands that “no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.  Job acknowledges that he spoke of things that he “did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.”  So let us be limited in our communicating with what is happening in our own lives and of the lives of others.  We do not have all the answers.  But what we do have is the Word of God.  Let us share God’s Word with others and not our own thoughts and ideas!

When we really start to understand who our Lord is and who we are, then we will say with Job— “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.  Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”  So let us learn the lessons from Job: 1- Stop trying to figure everything out.  2- Realize we have an adversary that is out to destroy us.  3- Do not attribute to God want Satan is doing.  4- Don’t speak of things we don’t understand. 5- Bad things happen to those following our Lord.  6- Don’t think that God is punishing you or someone you know because bad things are happening.  7- Don’t only hear, but see who our Lord is.  8- God has purposes He is carrying out that which will not be thwarted.  9- Have a proper perspective on self!

So… whatever you are going through remember to trust Him fully.  He knows what He is doing and we need to seek to be faithful through it all.  He is working out His plan.  We may not understand, but we can trust Him for what we do not understand.  Dear Father, may we do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of His Son Jesus.  I am grateful to know that You are ultimately over all things!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsQ58qn7G_4
